Forward Deployed Solution Engineer – Applied AI FDE

Overview

As a Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer, you serve as the technical lead for field deployments, delivering production-grade, AI-native solutions that scale across industries. You partner with customers to design and implement end-to-end LLM-powered apps, from backend services to front-end integrations, and codify reusable assets for future engagements. You’ll shape platform tooling and contribute to the product roadmap through real-world field feedback. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic impact in enterprise AI adoption.

Responsibilities

• Build solution-ready LLM-enabled applications spanning backend, data orchestration, and UI
• Operate in the field with customers to deploy and iterate live in production
• Codify reusable assets (libraries, prompts, scaffolds) to accelerate future engagements
• Shape developer experience by feeding back to platform and product teams
• Deliver production-ready software in agile sprints
• Engineer with APIs, orchestration pipelines, vector DBs, LLM frameworks, and UI components
• Inform product strategy through field-tested insights and extensible code
• Lead implementation from zero to one with architectural oversight

Key requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years in customer-facing or embedded roles
• Proven AI-native software design and production deployment experience
• Backend (Python, Node.js, Java) and frontend (React, Angular) proficiency
• Experience with APIs (REST/GraphQL)
• Familiarity with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, prompt chaining, vector search, and context management
• Experience deploying in cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) with CI/CD, containers, and infra-as-code
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
