Overview
As Skills Programme Manager in Wiltshire Council’s Targeted Education Service, you will lead employment and skills programmes (e.g., Skills Bootcamps, Connect to Work) to achieve targets and funding compliance while delivering positive outcomes. You will oversee budgets, provider performance, quality assurance, partnerships, and team development, driving service improvements to boost participation in skills and employment opportunities across Wiltshire.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of employment and skills programmes to meet targets and funding requirements
- Oversee budgets and budgetary control for programmes
- Monitor provider performance and ensure quality assurance across delivery
- Manage stakeholder partnerships and cross-team collaboration
- Lead Programme development and continuous service improvement
- Support disadvantaged groups and improve participation in skills and employment opportunities
- Utilise data, ICT systems and reporting tools to track outcomes
- Line-manage team members and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
Key requirements
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience
- Strong programme and project management skills
- Experience delivering skills or education programmes
- Proven ability to manage budgets and financial governance
- Experience working with partners and stakeholders
- Ability to support disadvantaged groups and promote programmes
- Proficient in using data, ICT systems and reporting tools to drive outcomes
