Overview

As a Business Analyst in the Booker Technology team, you will bridge business challenges and technology solutions across Retail and Logistics. You’ll gather and refine requirements, map processes, and drive value through practical changes in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your work supports testing, implementation and continuous improvement to deliver real benefits for customers and colleagues. This role offers visibility, relationship-building, and the chance to impact the way Booker operates at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to understand needs, challenges and opportunities
  • Analyze current processes and identify simplifications and improvements
  • Gather, define and document clear business requirements
  • Translate needs into requirements, user stories and specifications for tech teams
  • Lead workshops and discussions to explore requirements and build alignment
  • Create process maps and analyses showing impact of changes
  • Work closely with Product, Project and Engineering teams throughout delivery
  • Support testing, including SIT and UAT
  • Identify and help manage risks, issues and dependencies
  • Support successful introduction of new technology, systems and processes
  • Pursue continuous improvement of systems, processes and ways of working

Key requirements

  • Experience as a Business Analyst with exposure to business and technology change
  • Experience gathering, documenting and managing business requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in process analysis and mapping
  • Confidence working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments
  • Experience supporting testing, implementation and business change
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Jira
  • Business Analysis qualification (e.g., BCS) would be useful but not essential
