Overview

As Associate Building Services Engineer (Electrical) you will deliver technical and commercial electrical building services solutions across private and public sectors from our Glasgow base. You will design, analyse, and manage projects while mentoring junior staff, liaising with clients and contractors, and ensuring on-time delivery. Responsibilities

  • Deliver portfolios of electrical services work across private and public sector
  • Prepare designs, feasibility studies, reports, and contract documents
  • Carry out building analysis
  • Manage contracts
  • Liaise with clients and contractors
  • Ensure projects are delivered accurately and on time
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and graduates
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance

Key requirements

  • HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • No restrictions to obtain Security Clearance for secure projects
  • Knowledge of BS7671
  • Knowledge of H&S/CDM requirements and UK Building Regulations
  • Familiarity with electrical and lighting design software (Hevacomp/Amtech/Dialux)
  • Excellent communication skills, collaborative and self-motivated
  • Structured wiring system and security system design experience
  • Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements
  • Fire alarm and emergency lighting design experience
