Technical Services Manager

Overview

In this role you will oversee the installation of building services on projects ranging from 1M to 30M, ensuring compliant and efficient delivery. You will review sub-contractor proposals to secure cost-effective, client-aligned outcomes and maintain commercial awareness throughout procurement. You will shape the commissioning strategy and oversee testing, data collection, and validation of existing services. This is a delivery-focused position with a long-standing UK contractor that values selective, high-impact projects and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation of building services on schemes 1M–30M
• Review sub-contractor proposals for cost-effectiveness and compliance with client brief and regulations
• Maintain cost awareness to achieve competitive costs for M&E items
• Review service programmes and lead-in times; address procurement issues
• Produce commissioning strategy and oversee testing/commissioning data
• Advise on validation of existing building services
