Director, Digital Engineering, Product Engineering & Development

Overview

As Director in Deloitte’s PE&D, you lead Digital Engineering and PLM projects for clients and internal initiatives, shaping strategy, execution, and change. You’ll build the client and partner network, mentor teams, and steer end-to-end delivery of complex transformations. You’ll define engineering processes aligned to pre-configured Deloitte methods while driving thought leadership in PLM and Digital Engineering. This role offers cross-border collaboration and exposure to a broad ecosystem of industry leaders.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand the industry network through sales activity, bid responses, and thought leadership materials
• Lead and mentor internal teams, own initiatives, and share knowledge
• Deliver end-to-end projects across assessment, strategy, implementation and operations
• Lead workshops to define functional requirements with senior stakeholders
• Develop optimized engineering processes along the product lifecycle aligned with Deloitte’s methodology

Key requirements

• At least 10 years in PLM and digital engineering environments (industry or professional services)
• Experience developing sales/bid material around PLM or Digital Engineering
• Market-leading eminence in industrial products and/or consumer sectors
• Background in engineering or PLM (technical or functional)
• Knowledge of Digital Engineering toolchain (requirements management, MBSE, ALM, SAM)
• Experience managing diverse, global teams in a project-based setting
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies rapidly to meet evolving client needs
• Comfort working with diverse and hybrid teams
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Desirable: experience with PLM/Digital Engineering implementations or transformations; AI and sustainability in PLM; UK SC Clearance eligibility
