Enterprise Architect – Network Infrastructure

Overview

As Enterprise Architect – Network, you will own the end-to-end delivery of complex routing and switching architectures for enterprise-scale environments. You act as the technical voice in engagements, overseeing design through cutover while mentoring peers. The role spans adjacency domains like security, cloud networking, and automation, enabling broader solution ownership. You’ll lead governance, drive architecture decisions, and shape reference designs that scale with client needs. This is CCIE-calibre depth with a focus on delivering tangible, high-impact network transformations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end network architecture delivery from design to cutover and migration leadership.
• Chair Architecture Review Board and Technical Design Authority sessions, managing gates and design sign-off.
• Design enterprise routing solutions (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP for various environments) and switching fabrics (VXLAN/EVPN, VPC/MLAG).
• Lead spine-leaf data center fabric design and underlay/overlay architectures with automation.
• Architect WAN/SD-WAN solutions and MPLS integration with transport diversity strategies.
• Define QoS, multicast, and IPv6 architectures for critical environments.
• Integrate segmentation and zero-trust with client security architecture; manage governance and ADRs.
• Lead client-facing workshops, present to leadership, and act as escalation point; mentor teammates.

Key requirements

• Expert-level routing/switching depth; CCIE-calibre mandatory (CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, Service Provider, or Data Center) or clearly equivalent skill.
• 10+ years in network engineering/architecture with ownership of enterprise-scale designs.
• Experience leading multi-site or global network transformation programmes.
• Deep knowledge of BGP, IGP (OSPF/IS-IS/EIGRP), MPLS, and IPv6 design.
• Expertise in data center fabric (VXLAN/EVPN), multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, or Arista).
• Hands-on with SDN / data center fabrics (ACI, Arista CloudVision, Apstra) and SD-WAN platforms.
• Automation/programmability skills (Python, Ansible; NETCONF/YANG, RESTCONF; telemetry/gNMI).
• Ability to host governance forums, produce ADRs, and deliver high-level/low-level designs.
