Controls and Systems Accountant

Overview

As Systems & Controls Accountant, you lead scalable finance systems and processes to support fast growth and IPO readiness. You partner across product, legal, FP&A, sales operations and engineering to ensure accurate revenue recognition and automated controls in NetSuite, Salesforce and connected systems. You will drive data governance, automation, and end-to-end financial lifecycle improvements, while mentoring a growing team. This role combines technical accounting with system leadership to raise reporting speed and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex NetSuite configuration, workflows, customization, and integration
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance across NetSuite and connected systems
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs to reveal business performance
• Coordinate system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting for reliability
• Provide end-user training to improve NetSuite proficiency
• Oversee Sandbox environments for development and testing and ensure smooth production deployments
• Stay current with NetSuite features and assess impact on processes
• Drive end-to-end automation of the financial lifecycle across teams
• Mentor accounting and finance professionals and support revenue reporting
• Liaise with external auditors on related matters

Key requirements

• CPA, CA or equivalent; IFRS experience
• Strong NetSuite expertise; familiarity with Salesforce and integration
• Experience with SaaS/subscription revenue accounting and Rev Rec
• Leadership or management responsibility
• Experience in high-growth software environment and multi-country multi-currency operations
• Excellent written and spoken English; strong interpersonal skills
