BIM Project Lead – London, Bicester or Newcastle

Overview

In this role you will lead BIM project delivery for a multi-office M&E consultancy, shaping how models, drawings and information flow across design and construction teams. You’ll drive BIM strategy, governance and coordination to support zero-carbon, efficient building projects. You will work closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure information requirements are met and to deliver high-quality, clash-free models. This is a hands-on leadership role at the intersection of design, information management and construction delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage project resources with the Local BIM Manager
• Coordinate with design teams and supply chain to meet information requirements and industry standards
• Monitor progress and report to clients, PMs and design managers
• Set up BIM project environments including CDEs, templates, 2D/3D content
• Lead production and maintenance of BIM models, drawings, schedules, and specifications using Autodesk BIM360/ACC
• Coordinate interrogation/coordination models, clash detection and reports using Navisworks Manage and BIM360/ACC
• Provide technical BIM support and training to team members
• Act as SPOC for clients on CAD/BIM aspects and liaise with project stakeholders
• Lead BIM coordination meetings, track actions, risks, and progress; present live modelling progress to teams and clients
• Audit 2D/3D outputs for compliance with client requirements, standards and policies
• Identify opportunities for BIM process improvements and sustainability in design and modelling
• Maintain ethical standards and apply company policies and procedures

Key requirements

• Fluent in English
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Leadership experience and ability to drive delivery under heavy workload
• Strong attention to detail and self-motivation
• Proven track record in creating project BIM Execution Plans
• Proficiency with MS 365
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360/ACC (MEP focus)
• Experience building parametric libraries and duct/pipe routing
