Project Controls Specialists (all levels) – Performance & Reporting

Overview

In this role you will support the Scotland PMO by delivering tailored performance reporting, scheduling, and risk management services across diverse sectors. You will work with project delivery teams and the data/ digital groups to establish robust performance baselines and insights that drive governance and decision making. Responsibilities

• Tailor reporting processes to client needs and align with best practice
• Deliver performance and reporting management plans based on project requirements
• Promote benefits and requirements of Performance Reporting & Analytics within the project team
• Implement and maintain reporting systems and procedures to track controls performance
• Collaborate with Integrated Project Team to establish a robust PMB and support change control
• Roll out reporting calendars for consistent data delivery and analysis
• Define data flows for information management systems with digital teams
• Lead development, analysis and maintenance of corporate datasets
• Provide guidance on data quality to data providers
• Lead material preparation for governance across projects, programmes and portfolios
• Identify performance recovery recommendations for stakeholders and management
• Support KPI development and contribute to the performance measures dictionary
• Develop project performance reports and dashboards with recommendations for decision making
• Prepare client governance and performance review materials
• Contribute to national/regional performance & reporting communities (CoPs)
• Train and coach clients and junior team members on performance and reporting practices

Key requirements

• Experience in a project or programme environment
• Understanding of how project controls (scheduling, cost control, change control) interact with reporting
• Track record in identifying reporting and data requirements using appropriate tools and documentation
• Awareness of project controls software (Primavera P6, Active Risk Manager, Ecosys) is desirable
• Experience using data analysis tools (Power BI)
• Understanding of data, data architecture and data models
