Overview
As a CI/CD Engineer in the Pipeline Squad, you will own and evolve the Atlas deployment pipeline across dev, staging, and production. You’ll reduce build times, stabilize jobs, and shorten the path from merge to production. You’ll raise the developer experience by removing setup friction and ensuring secure, scalable pipelines. You’ll manage IaC and Helm configurations and embed security checks into the workflow. This role pairs hands-on tooling with cross-team collaboration to keep SaaS delivery fast, safe, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Own the CI/CD pipeline across Atlas environments (dev, staging, prod) and optimize test/build/security/deploy stages
- Reduce build times, tame flaky jobs, and streamline merge-to-production flow
- Improve developer experience by simplifying monorepo setup and tooling
- Manage infrastructure as code (Terraform) for Azure-based infra and per-environment Helm values
- Embed security into pipelines by integrating automated scanning tools
- Develop scripts, templates, and docs to enable self-serve, reliable defaults
Key requirements
- Strong CI/CD experience with a modern platform (GitLab CI preferred)
- Solid Kubernetes and Helm experience in production, plus Docker containerization
- Infrastructure as code with Terraform, ideally on Azure (AKS, ACR, Entra Workload Identity, Service Bus)
- Comfort with a TypeScript/Node monorepo and building/improving build/test setups
- DevEx mindset: measure toil and treat internal tooling as a product
- Security-conscious defaults: least privilege, secrets hygiene, supply-chain awareness
- Observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus)
- Empathy for engineers and user-centric tooling
- Proactive problem solving and documentation
- Cross-team collaboration and communication
- GitLab CI/CD (and knowledge transferable to GitHub Actions/Jenkins)
- Kubernetes (production) and Helm
- Docker containerization
