Overview
In this Category Buyer role, you will support the Facilities Management category within National Grid’s Group Indirects Procurement. You’ll help shape procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships and ensure value, compliance and performance across a diverse FM contract portfolio. You’ll work with cross-functional stakeholders to drive sourcing, contract management and supplier performance improvements. This is a hybrid role based in Warwick, with some site travel and driving responsibilities, offering a meaningful impact on how we deliver a cleaner energy system.

Responsibilities
- Support delivery of procurement activities across the Facilities Management category
- Manage sourcing events and procurement projects from requirement through to contract award
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Support contract and supplier performance management activities
- Identify opportunities to drive value, efficiency and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements and governance standards
Key requirements
- Passion for procurement and supplier management
- CIPS Level 4 qualification and working towards Level 5 or 6
- Experience managing Professional Services contracts and frameworks
- Knowledge of regulated or public sector procurement environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in Facilities Management, Utilities or Security categories advantageous but not essential
