Projects Engineer

Overview

In this role you will manage IT, cloud and infrastructure projects for a range of customers across the South East. You will work closely with the Projects Manager to deliver projects on time and to standard, handling installations, progress updates and risk assessments. The position offers exposure to varied technologies and environments, with a focus on improving reliability and customer experience. This is a hands-on, client-facing opportunity within a growing MSP, offering hybrid working and clear progression paths. You will contribute to successful project delivery and continuous improvement while travelling to client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT projects to agreed timescales and standards
• Perform technical installations and project work
• Collaborate with Projects Manager on project delivery
• Provide regular progress updates and flag issues
• Plan activities within budgets and deadlines
• Complete risk assessments and ensure safe delivery
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records
• Provide remote technical support
• Monitor backups and proactively identify issues
• Travel to customer sites across the South East and London when required
• Recommend improvements to reliability, efficiency and customer experience

Key requirements

• Hands-on technical experience across Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID)
• Networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Switching, VPNs)
• Windows Server & Active Directory
• Hyper-V
• Backup & Disaster Recovery
• Endpoint Security & MFA
• Wi-Fi configuration and deployment
