As an Electrical Services Engineer at Arup in Edinburgh, you will deliver electrical building services designs across diverse sectors, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to create integrated, sustainable solutions. Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical building services designs across multiple sectors and project stages
• Lead the electrical delivery of smaller projects within multidisciplinary teams
• Perform electrical calculations, system design and technical assessments with industry tools
• Mentor graduate engineers and apprentices
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, authorities and stakeholders
• Contribute to digital engineering initiatives (BIM, automation, data-driven design)

Key requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status (IET, CIBSE or equivalent)
• Experience delivering electrical building services designs and understanding of integrated MEP design
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in electrical design software (Trimble ProDesign/Amtech, Dialux) and familiarity with BIM (Revit and/or MicroStation)
• Ability to manage multiple projects proactively
• Knowledge of HV/LV distribution, standby generation, lighting, fire detection, renewables and earthing is advantageous
