Overview
In this role you will lead the preparation and review of financial and management accounts for an established international bank. You’ll drive financial analysis for senior management and ensure regulatory and tax reporting is accurate and timely. You will supervise the Finance team and work closely with external auditors to maintain compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS. This is a growth-stage opportunity to shape reporting processes in a dynamic, central-London environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow) in UK GAAP/IFRS
- Conduct financial analysis to explain key metrics to senior management
- Prepare and review tax returns, tax payments, VAT returns, and BB interest returns
- Prepare Annual Statement notes
- Collaborate with external auditors
- Supervise Assistant Manager and the Finance department
- Support regulatory reporting exposure and FINREP readiness
Key requirements
- Qualified Accountant
- minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within financial services
- experience in financial accounts preparation with knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS 9
- experience in corporation tax and VAT subjects
- regulatory reporting exposure and FINREP knowledge
