Programme Manager

Overview

As a Programme Manager in defence-focused engineering, you will oversee multiple concurrent projects and lead delivery teams to ensure on-time, on-budget, quality outcomes. You will build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders while managing plans, risks, and scopes. You will oversee programme finances and support bids and new business activity. This is a role that requires security clearance eligibility and hands-on collaboration with engineering and project teams to drive successful programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Project Managers and delivery teams
• Manage programme plans, schedules, risks, dependencies and milestones
• Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Oversee programme finances including forecasting, budgeting and performance
• Support bids, proposals and new business activity
• Manage resource requirements and delivery priorities
• Provide programme updates to senior stakeholders

Key requirements

• Proven Programme Management experience within defence, maritime or a complex engineering environment
• Experience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously
• Strong customer, stakeholder and leadership skills
• Experience managing programme budgets, costs and delivery performance
• Excellent planning, communication and problem-solving skills
