As Pipeline Civil Engineer you will shape major water infrastructure projects across the UK and abroad. You will apply advanced pipeline engineering across the full lifecycle, working with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust designs and rehabilitation options. Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering across the full lifecycle of major pipeline projects
• Oversee material selection and structural design of buried pipelines
• Design thrust restraint and trenchless technology solutions
• Apply pipeline analysis tools, evaluate rehabilitation options, and conduct condition and failure assessments
• Contribute to project proposals and produce high-level technical reports
• Support research initiatives with industry bodies (UKWIR and CIRIA)
• Help deliver sustainable rehabilitation and trenchless solutions with minimal environmental disruption

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering and Chartered or Incorporated (or actively pursuing with ICE/CIWEM or equivalent)
• Experience across pipeline disciplines including buried pipeline design ( BS EN 1295-1:2019, BS 9295:2020) and thrust restraint design (CIRIA C816/Report 128)
• Familiarity with pipeline rehabilitation, trenchless design principles, failure assessments, or piping analysis software (e.g., CAESAR II)
• Strong proposal and report-writing skills and ability to liaise with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
