IT Applications and Infrastructure Support Analyst

Overview

In this role you provide hands-on IT applications and infrastructure support within a central London banking environment. You will act as the frontline face of IT support, handling incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and knowledge-base updates, while collaborating on migration and lifecycle projects. You help ensure regulatory compliance, SLA achievement, and operational excellence across on-premises and virtualized environments. This position offers exposure to a mix of market data tools, enterprise platforms, and cross-team coordination. You will work in a hybrid setup with a strong emphasis on risk-aware, structured ITIL-aligned operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st to 3rd line IT support with root-cause analysis and knowledge-base documentation
• Manage workstation imaging, hardware configurations, software deployment, and AD administration
• Oversee asset management, ticket queues (Alloy Navigator), and ensure service efficiency
• Serve as the central point for IT queries, applying ITIL practices and maintaining high operation standards
• Coordinate with London colleagues and external vendors on complex issues and migrations
• Maintain up-to-date IT data for audits, support regulatory compliance, and risk controls
• Help the team meet SLA targets and participate in proactive support activities
• Participate in regulatory training and complete mandatory refreshers and technical/behavioral development

Key requirements

• 5–10 years in 2nd/3rd line IT support
• Exposure to market data tools (e.g., Bloomberg) and Trader Support
• Strong Windows OS troubleshooting and knowledge-base usage
• Active Directory management and LDAP/ADS I
• Citrix XenApps administration and support
• Windows Server 2012/2016 administration and maintenance
• VMware virtualization experience
• Backup solutions experience and networking basics (VLAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching)
• PowerShell competency and VPN/DNS administration
