Senior Site Manager | Permanent | Hertfordshire

Overview

In this role you will lead site operations on residential and commercial projects for a main contractor in London and the Home Counties. You will drive safety, quality and delivery across new builds, refurbishments and conversions, coordinating diverse teams to meet programme and budget targets. Your leadership and hands-on construction expertise will shape project outcomes and client satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site delivery of new build residential, refurbishments and conversions of commercial properties
• Lead and motivate site teams to achieve high performance
• Ensure safety, quality and compliance across all works (SMSTS/CSCS/First Aid)
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and clients to maintain programme
• Manage site logistics, quality control and handover readiness
• Monitor progress against schedule and budget, escalate risks as needed

Key requirements

• Experience working for a reputable Main Contractor
• Track record overseeing new build residential, residential refurbishments and refurbishment / conversions of commercial properties
• Familiar with Traditional Build and RC Frame Apartments
• Excellent all round construction knowledge and experience
• Excellent management skills with the ability to get the best out of people
