Project Controls Engineer – Defence

Overview

In this Defence Project Controls Engineer role, you support performance reporting and analysis within the Defence team in London and the South East. You collate progress and cost data, update schedules in Primavera P6, and prepare monthly progress reports, while helping ensure governance of controls processes. You work with cross-functional teams and may act as the day-to-day client contact. The role offers exposure to sensitive projects and the potential to obtain security clearance. You contribute to delivering projects on time, to budget, and to security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collate progress data from multi-discipline teams to update project/programme schedule in Primavera P6
• Collate cost data from multi-discipline teams to support budget requests & update cost report
• Prepare monthly reports measuring progress against baseline
• Support the Project Controls Manager in applying governance & assurance of Project Controls processes

Key requirements

• Typically, a qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with project control experience
• Proactive, self-starter with strong communications and analytical skills
• Experience in project or programme management with delivery or controls responsibility
• Experience using Primavera (P6), Power BI, and Microsoft Office applications
• Reliable, autonomous worker who can also collaborate in a team
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of Project Controls concepts
• Ideally hold security clearance or ability to obtain/maintain it
