Overview

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will help develop new Medical Devices to ISO 13485 standards in a collaborative, state-of-the-art lab setting. You will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to push the design and maturation of advanced electro-mechanical devices. The role focuses on turning complex technologies, such as handheld systems and microfluidics, into compliant products with meaningful clinical impact. Responsibilities

  • Develop new Medical Devices in compliance with ISO 13485
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, CAD, Electronics engineers, physicists and scientists on device development
  • Design and qualify complex handheld and microfluidic technologies
  • Work within a regulated environment to advance product milestones
  • Leverage state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops to accelerate development
  • Support cross-functional activities across regulatory, quality, and design reviews

Key requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering degree from a leading university
  • 2–10 years of relevant experience in Medical Devices; senior candidates considered
  • Experience in successfully developing brand-new Medical Devices to ISO 13485
  • Background in regulated environments; life sciences or aerospace backgrounds considered
  • Knowledge of mechanical design best practices in complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Collaborative team player
