Principal Process Engineer

Overview

As Principal Process Engineer in Cavendish Nuclear’s Business Winning team, you will shape process solutions for bids and early-stage projects across a national security–mensitive portfolio. You’ll lead multidisciplinary inputs to strengthen proposals, ensuring technical integrity and timely delivery. The role combines engineering leadership with stakeholder influence to support UK clean-energy, defence, and decommissioning initiatives. You will work at one of several sites with hybrid options, enabling impact at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead the process engineering elements of bids
• Develop and deliver engineering scope, schedules and resource plans
• Ensure technical integrity, compliance and quality
• Produce and review technical reports and verification plans
• Promote engineering best practice and mentor others

Key requirements

• Significant demonstrable experience in a relevant engineering discipline
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
• Experience managing teams delivering technical activities
• Ability to interface with multiple disciplines and stakeholders
