You will manage a high‑value clinical negligence caseload within a specialist claimant team, guiding and developing junior staff while contributing to team processes. Responsibilities
- Manage own caseload of complex, high-value clinical negligence claims
- Handle matters pre- and post-issue
- Supervise and mentor a team of case handlers
- Conduct weekly risk assessments and 1:1 supervision sessions
- Provide guidance to junior colleagues on request
- Participate in team training, development, and marketing initiatives
- Maintain and contribute to the group’s case management procedures
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with solid claimant clinical negligence experience
- Strong litigation background with experience handling complex claims
- Excellent knowledge of CPR and clinical negligence law
- Experience supervising, coaching, and developing junior team members
- Ability to handle sensitive client matters with professionalism and empathy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient IT skills and organised approach
- Experience with LEI, CFA or publicly funded cases (advantageous)
