Overview
As an Associate/Associate Director, you will lead cost management for high-value Commercial and Corporate Occupier projects, guiding delivery teams and ensuring profitable, risk-aware outcomes. You’ll shape strategy, coach talent, and act as a brand ambassador to clients and the market. You’ll own feasibility, cost planning, procurement, and post-contract cost reporting, driving value engineering and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Set team strategy and foster inclusive leadership

- Maintain market understanding and pipeline of opportunities
- Assist with feasibility studies and procurement reports
- Estimate and plan costs; present final cost plans
- Manage tendering processes and related analyses
- Handle post-contract cost variances and change control
- Conduct cost checks and valuations; produce monthly post-contract cost reports
- Input into value engineering and negotiate final accounts
- Interface with clients and consultants across project stages
- Lead the cost management team ensuring accountability
- Identify new business opportunities with existing clients
- Assist in producing bid documentation
- Improve cost management procedures, templates, and products
- Ensure information captured in internal databases and track financial management via FMS
- Suggest process improvements and assess commission management quality
Key requirements
- 12+ years’ cost management experience
- MRICS qualified
- UK Cost Management experience in Real Estate/Property
- Experience on large projects (new builds and fit-outs)
