Sr. UX Designer, Alexa for Shopping

Overview

In this role you will help shape the AI-powered shopping assistant experience across surfaces, blending vision and interaction design to deliver a personal, agentic experience. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to translate concepts into intuitive, scalable designs that balance business and customer needs. You’ll guide design decisions from early concepts to launches, navigating ambiguity with clarity and impact. This is an opportunity to influence how customers shop using voice, touch, and visuals across Amazon surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-level customer experience strategy for near and long term
• Design interaction flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces, collaborating with Conversation Designers on conversational components
• Define UI patterns for LLM-generated and agentic content with Science and Engineering teams to ensure scalability and feasibility
• Present design work to UX, product, engineering, leaders, and partners for review and feedback
• Collaborate with design teammates on experiences, design systems, frameworks, processes, and best practices
• Work with UX research and data teams to assess and optimise features
• Navigate ambiguity and bring clarity to design decisions and direction
• Ensure designs are scalable and technically feasible

Key requirements

• English fluency
• 8+ years of UX or interaction design experience
• Portfolio demonstrating senior-level visual and interaction design; include link on CV
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• Proficiency in design tools, with preference for Figma (as noted)
