Overview

In this role you will provide Industrial Engineering support across Raytheon sites, driving manufacturing innovation from early engagement through to volume production. You will shape factory capacity plans and invest in infrastructure, oversee producibility with cross‑functional teams, and apply IE tools to improve performance. You will collaborate with engineering and design groups to smooth transitions to manufacture and champion safety and ergonomics. This position offers impact in a high‑tech, defence context with opportunities to mentor others and lead key projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative manufacturing solutions and contribute to capacity and investment roadmaps
  • Support new projects, technologies or business opportunities
  • Analyze manufacturing systems to identify improvement opportunities using IE tools
  • Determine equipment, facilities and support needs for new products or processes
  • Create factory and line layouts using AutoCAD and assist with planning and costing for changes
  • Optimize assembly lines via workflow analysis, time and motion studies, ergonomics
  • Produce technical reports and presentations to back projects
  • Use simulation, value stream mapping, PFMEA, Lean and Six Sigma to analyze requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering/design to ensure producibility and transition to manufacture
  • Labour estimating for electronic, cable or mechanical assemblies
  • Contribute to factory safety and work cell ergonomics

Key requirements

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or simulation modelling tools
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts, SPC, modelling, queuing theory, Lean/Six Sigma
  • Ability to represent Raytheon to internal and external customers
  • Understanding of cost drivers in setup, development, or manufacturing processes
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Mentoring or leadership of other engineers
  • Collaboration across engineering and design teams
