Project Civil Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead civil design for large-scale residential developments, coordinating with internal teams and external authorities to deliver compliant infrastructure. You will drive highways and drainage design from feasibility to construction and manage regulatory agreements. You’ll review designs and support technical approvals to keep projects on schedule and within budget. This position sits in a technical team within a reputable UK developer, offering a clear path for career progression and hands-on impact on community-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil engineering design from feasibility to construction
• Oversee highways and drainage design for residential schemes
• Progress S38, S278, S104 and S106 agreements
• Liaise with local authorities, water utilities and statutory bodies
• Review consultant designs, reports and drawings for compliance and buildability
• Support project delivery through technical approvals and construction stages

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience delivering residential infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of highways and drainage design and approvals
• Confident dealing with local authorities and utility providers
• Commercially aware and able to manage multiple projects concurrently
