Overview
In this role you will lead European finance, shaping financial strategy and reporting across multiple European locations. You will drive a finance transformation, including implementing a new ERP system, and strengthen internal controls and compliance. You’ll partner with auditors and cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decisions. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role in a dynamic, tech-focused company with a clear European footprint and travel opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Oversee European finance functions (finance, accounting, tax, audit, and administration)
- Lead ERP implementation across Europe to improve efficiency and processes
- Streamline European finance operations and enhance financial reporting systems with strong internal controls
- Manage financial planning and forecasting and provide data for decision-making
- Coordinate with auditors on statutory reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory matters
- Prepare monthly management accounts with insightful commentary and ensure timely statutory filings (HMRC, ONS, etc.)
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and capital appraisal decisions; assist in pricing and strategic planning
- Oversee company secretarial tasks, including Companies House filings
- Provide leadership to the finance team and build a collaborative, high-performing culture
- Foster cross-company strategic input and drive continuous improvement in financial processes
Key requirements
- Qualified accountant with a track record in Finance Leadership
- Experience leading change and transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with SAP; ERP and technology-enabled finance is a plus
- Willingness to travel across Europe and to multiple office locations
