Overview
As ALS Part 1 Manager, you ensure safe-life airworthiness items remain compliant and certifiable across Airbus programs (except A220). You act as a technical authority bridging design, certification, and airline operations. You will lead ALS Part 1 production, sign off critical airworthiness deliverables, and represent airline needs in engineering. This role combines technical leadership with cross-functional collaboration to sustain safe, available fleets.

Responsibilities
- Lead ALS Part 1 production and maintenance program updates across Airbus commercial aircraft programs (except A220)
- Certify new safe-life structure parts (e.g., landing gear components) and manage related authorizations
- Sign off as Technical Approver (TA) and Compliance Demonstration Engineer (CVE) for critical deliverables
- Represent airlines’ voice in Design Engineering to ensure maintenance requirements influence design
- Contribute to reducing Direct Maintenance Costs while maximizing aircraft availability
- Supervise outsourced work packages to ensure quality and support digitalization initiatives
- Support the Maintenance Engineering Front Desk by resolving airline technical queries within target dates
Key requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- 5 to 10 years of professional aeronautical engineering support or aircraft maintenance
- Knowledge of airframe engineering with focus on safe-life structures
- Broad knowledge of civil aircraft systems and ICA
- Fluent in English with strong presentation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
