Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead the delivery of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects for UK and international clients, shaping city-scale planning through to building-scale utilities. You’ll work within the Edinburgh-based Infrastructure Group to manage technical design, resources, and stakeholder communication, driving quality improvements and sustainable outcomes amid climate action goals. You will mentor colleagues and contribute to securing project pipelines, all while collaborating across global teams. This is a chance to influence large-scale infrastructure while advancing modern design methods in a renowned practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects from proposition to construction
• Plan resources and finances; monitor financial performance
• Lead and mentor technical staff; plan workload for the team
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications and schedules
• Support work-winning activities to secure project pipeline

Key requirements

• Strong technical background in infrastructure design with a track record leading a technical specialism (Highways, Utilities or Sustainable Drainage)
• Experience delivering international, multi-disciplinary projects with proven leadership and communication skills
• Willingness to travel and drive continuous quality improvement
• Experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage
• Member of a relevant professional institution
