Overview

As a Senior EC&I Engineer, you will lead electrical, control and instrumentation design for safety-critical systems across the nuclear lifecycle, from new build to decommissioning. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence in highly regulated environments. The role offers exposure to defence and clean energy projects, with opportunities to influence major programs and protect people, infrastructure and the environment. You’ll engage regulators, clients and partners to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical, control and instrumentation designs meeting safety and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on nuclear projects from operations to decommissioning
  • Engage regulators, clients and supply chain to ensure compliance and integration
  • Produce and review technical documentation including calculations, specifications and safety case inputs
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation and quality across engineering activities

Key requirements

  • Experience designing and delivering electrical, control and instrumentation systems
  • Applying IEC 61508 or BS EN 61511 in regulated environments
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams on complex lifecycle projects
  • Collaborating with stakeholders including clients, regulators, and project teams
  • Producing and reviewing high-quality technical documentation and outputs
