Overview

In this role you will support manufacturing teams to develop robust quality controls, including PFMEA and control plans, and to drive continuous improvement within the QMS. You will act as an interface for customer/supplier queries and coordinate containment and corrective actions. You will participate in audits, first article inspections, and root-cause investigations to reduce non-conformances. You join a collaborative quality team focused on safety, transparency, and performance in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

  • Work with manufacturing teams to establish robust quality controls, PFMEA, and control plans with improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor performance trends in Connector Assembly; report scrap, MRB status, and supplier/customer concerns.
  • Attend tier 2/3 SPQDCE meetings and support improvement initiatives and root-cause analysis.
  • Handle customer queries/complaints for Connector Assembly areas.
  • Participate in 8D reviews, coordinate customer feedback, and support corrective action implementation.
  • Monitor containment and corrective actions, ensuring timely closure of actions.
  • Conduct product, process, and system audits as required.
  • Schedule and conduct first article inspections for manufacturing products.
  • Support ongoing development of the QMS and other manufacturing areas as needed.

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5 years as a Quality Technician or similar in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
  • HNC or equivalent in relevant discipline.
  • Proficient with data analysis in Excel and Access; able to generate reports and presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in conducting system and process audits.
  • Understanding of quality management systems and product measurement requirements.
