Overview
In this hybrid role, you support Investment Managers in the Private Client team to deliver high-quality service and drive improvements across the Client Administration function. You manage onboarding and ongoing maintenance of client accounts, coordinate with internal teams and third parties, and maintain strong client relationships. You will also mentor junior staff, handle client queries, and assist the Investment Managers to ensure a seamless, compliant client experience.

Responsibilities
- Engage with Investment Managers to discuss client requirements and coordinate account opening
- Maintain existing client accounts through AML reviews, amendments, sub accounts, and records
- Liaise with custodians and third parties for derivative and FX account openings
- Build ongoing client relationships where appropriate
- Systems administration of client data across internal and external systems
- Handle client queries (reports, cash transactions, custody, transitions)
- Coordinate with third-party consultants/audit firms to meet client needs
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality client service
- Provide guidance and training to new and junior team members
- Offer efficient support to Investment Managers
- Provide support and cover for the Client Administration Team
- Attend client meetings as required
Key requirements
- Sound technical knowledge of client take-on within an Asset Management environment
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of the structure and organisation of Asset Management companies
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task to meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident in dealing directly with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Numerical, analytical and PC skills
- Knowledge of investment parameters and fee arrangements for discretionary portfolios
- Knowledge of investment instruments, securities, corporate actions and capital gains tax rules
- Relevant industry qualifications such as IOC
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
