Industrial Engineering Manager

Overview

As Industrial Engineering Manager, you will lead and grow an engineering team focused on Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement to boost productivity and manufacturing performance. You’ll work with cross-functional functions to optimise processes, layouts and material flow, while supporting NPI and DFM initiatives. The role drives KPI improvements (OEE, throughput) and capital improvement projects, enabling growth and operational excellence. You will shape and scale manufacturing capability in a dynamic electromechanical environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Industrial Engineers
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Improve productivity, labour efficiency, quality and throughput
• Develop labour standards, time studies and capacity planning models
• Optimise manufacturing processes, factory layouts and material flow
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design for Manufacture (DFM)
• Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, productivity and utilisation
• Lead value stream mapping and process improvement projects
• Support automation, process optimisation and capital investment projects
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality teams

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering
• Experience leading Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering teams
• Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience
• Experience within low to medium volume, high-mix manufacturing
• Strong understanding of capacity planning, labour standards and production processes
• CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks
• Excellent analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing KPIs
