In this role you drive high-impact cybersecurity thought leadership and trusted client guidance within Gartner’s BTI group. You will craft must-have insights, shape research agendas, and engage executives through presentations and client interactions. You act as a credible industry expert, translating complex cyber risk into business impact and guiding strategic risk decisions. Responsibilities
- Create innovative, high-value insights content for clients
- Develop new thought leadership and practical approaches to client needs
- Conduct in-depth analyses to identify root causes and reframe strategy
- Establish Insights positions across a team of analysts
- Contribute provocative, independent insights to evolve the research agenda
- Research, analyze and forecast market trends to provide actionable guidance
- Deliver actionable advice through virtual and in-person client interactions
- Produce high-quality presentation materials for Gartner events and client briefings
- Provide sales support and act as the voice of the market to drive client engagement
- Peer-review content for quality and credibility
- Build credibility as Gartner insights representative
- Participate in innovation, ideation, and cross-team collaboration
- Identify process improvements to service delivery
- Mentor and coach junior team members
- Maintain client-centric engagement with regular Gartner insights interactions
Key requirements
- 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience
- Proven cybersecurity leadership experience at executive level (e.g., CISO)
- Deep expertise in technology leadership and translating trends into business roadmaps
- Applied AI judgment across enterprise lifecycle and governance
- Fluency in major cybersecurity regulations and frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, NIS2, DORA, EU AI Act)
- Broad cybersecurity market literacy and capability mapping
- Executive presence and ability to engage with executives
- Strong organizational, research, and writing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication; analytical and presentation skills
- Ability to analyze data, apply frameworks, and defend conclusions
- Subject matter expertise with experience in speaking engagements
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a multicultural, matrixed environment
- Learning agility and adaptability in matrixed environments
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
