Senior Software Engineer II- Regional Expansion

Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Latam & Mea Payments Team, you will build and optimize integrations with local banks and payment providers to enable cross-border money movement. You will collaborate with global engineering colleagues to design scalable, compliant payment infrastructure that supports regional expansion. You’ll influence the technical roadmap, lead high-quality implementations, and participate in on-call rotations to keep services secure and available. This is a chance to shape payments for diverse markets and accelerate Wise’s growth mission.

• Starting salary: 111,000 to 145,000 + RSUs

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and manage connections with local payment schemes and regional banks to enable money movement across markets
• Define technical direction through high-quality designs, peer reviews, and roadmap shaping for the payments ecosystem
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with Wise’s worldwide platform
• Participate in on-call rotations to support operations and incidents, maintaining security and availability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PMs, designers, engineers) for regional expansion and aligned product/technical implementation
