Overview

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of complex UK personal tax cases within the Private Assurance team, delivering end-to-end tax returns with support from managers. You’ll engage clients and HMRC, applying tax rules and firm guidance to form informed opinions. Responsibilities

  • Oversee a portfolio of complex clients and manage end-to-end tax return processes
  • Prepare tax returns and computations for manager review
  • Conduct technical research using legislation, HMRC manuals, and firm resources to form opinions
  • Directly engage with clients and HMRC, delivering clear, timely communication
  • Drive deadlines, prioritise tasks, and monitor Work in Progress recoveries
  • Collaborate within a specialised team and network across service lines
  • Support development through structured learning, coaching, and varied work
  • Contribute to the private tax function’s wider goals with professional excellence

Key requirements

  • Experience in UK Personal Tax
  • A-Levels or equivalent
  • Strong Maths and English GCSE grades
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ATT qualification (or working towards) with study support available
  • Self-motivated, highly organised, able to work to deadlines
