Overview
In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver scalable full-stack solutions for Ares’ global credit investment platform. You will work within the Credit Technology Engineering team to support deal origination, underwriting, portfolio monitoring, risk management, and analytics. You will contribute hands-on across UI, API, and data layers while guiding technical design and platform modernization. This position offers meaningful impact by shaping enterprise-grade software in a fast-growing credit business.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy and support software for credit investment workflows
- Contribute across front-end, back-end, integration and data layers
- Build and maintain APIs and services for investment workflows
- Participate in code/design reviews, troubleshooting and production support
- Drive scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with engineering standards
- Partner with leadership on architecture and platform modernization initiatives
- Break down technical deliverables and assist delivery planning
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute as a senior technical contributor
Key requirements
- BS in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 5-8 years of enterprise software engineering experience
- Experience delivering large-scale software in complex business environments
- Proficiency with Agile development and cross-functional collaboration
- Financial services experience preferred; investment management, credit or asset management platforms knowledge beneficial
- Mentorship or technical leadership experience
