Maintenance Engineer

Overview

In this Maintenance Engineer role, you will maintain high-speed production and packaging machinery in a fast-paced food-manufacturing environment. You will work on electrical and mechanical maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support planned maintenance and site projects. You will install electrical and mechanical components and optimize line setup to maximise output. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce changeover times and downtime. This role offers a varied, hands-on position with a reputable employer.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical maintenance on high-speed production and packaging machinery
• Responding to emergency breakdowns
• Supporting the development of planned maintenance schedules
• Supporting site projects including machinery refurbishments and new installations
• Carrying out electrical and mechanical installations
• Ensuring correct set up of production lines to maximise output
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives
• Working to reduce changeover times and minimise downtime

Key requirements

• Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong Electrical skills
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing
• Good PLC fault-finding skills
• Experience with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• HNC or HND qualified
