PowerShell Automation Engineer

Overview

In this role you will push automation and DevOps across a SaaS-enabled environment for a high-profile commodity trading platform. You’ll collaborate with development and customer-facing teams to deliver internal projects and BAU support, driving efficiency and reliability. You’ll design and implement infrastructure solutions, oversee deployment and upgrade paths, and contribute to a scalable managed services approach. Responsibilities

• Contribute to design improvements for easier environment and client support
• Drive process automation and build a stronger managed services solution
• Increase service availability via iterative infrastructure enhancements
• Research and select delivery infrastructure options
• Design and architect required infrastructure
• Manage deployment, maintenance, and upgrade paths of infrastructure
• Support connectivity in a high-availability environment

Key requirements

• Strong infrastructure and OS background
• Strong PowerShell proficiency
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code concepts; proficient in Ansible and Terraform
• Good scripting skills; PowerShell on Windows and Linux
• Azure cloud awareness (or other cloud knowledge)
• Experience with GitOps framework in a team setting
• Good understanding of Microsoft SQL and database deployments
• Core containerisation knowledge
• Experience with automated deployment tools
