Team Manager (Occupational Therapy)

Overview

In this role you will lead an integrated, multi-disciplinary Occupational Therapy service for adults, ensuring high-quality assessments and timely delivery of care. You will work with cross-functional teams to manage performance, budget, and safeguarding responsibilities, while promoting a strengths-based, prevention-focused agenda. You will shape demand management and early discharge pathways to reduce avoidable admissions. This is an impactful public service leadership position that supports residents’ wellbeing and independent living.

Responsibilities

• Operationally manage an integrated adult health and social care service
• Manage budget and performance for the service area
• Provide leadership, oversight and quality assurance for complex high-risk cases including safeguarding
• Contribute to demand management programs and facilitate early discharge
• Ensure a proportionate, strengths-based approach to assessments

Key requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Significant experience in statutory Adult Social Care
• Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and statutory guidance
• Experience with adults with complex care needs
