Overview

You will lead the delivery of electrical and mechanical work on complex building projects, from pre-construction through handover. You’ll collaborate with design, planning and commercial teams to meet programme, safety, quality and financial goals. The role combines hands-on site leadership with cross‑functional coordination to ensure safe, high‑quality project outcomes. This is a growth‑driven opportunity within a reputable M&E contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical and mechanical package delivery from pre-construction to handover
  • Develop delivery programmes, short-term plans and procurement schedules
  • Coordinate design information, submittals, RFIs and builder’s-work requirements
  • Lead/subcontractor management ensuring safety, quality and productivity
  • Monitor progress, cost, risk and change with recovery actions
  • Lead client, consultant and subcontractor meetings with clear action tracking
  • Ensure procurement of materials, plant and resources aligned with programme
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, O&M information and practical completion
  • Support valuations, variations and financial performance with commercial colleagues

Key requirements

  • Proven experience managing electrical and mechanical packages on construction or engineering projects
  • Strong understanding of design coordination, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning
  • Confident in leading subcontractors and communicating with clients, consultants and project teams
  • Relevant technical qualification or trade background with strong site-delivery experience
  • Good understanding of health and safety, quality assurance and project controls
  • Ability to work with clients, consultants, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams
