Quantum Expert Witness

Overview

In this role you will bring senior quantum expertise to high‑value construction and energy disputes, acting as a lead Quantum Expert and preparing reports and testimony. You will support litigation and arbitration, collaborating with top law firms and project stakeholders, and help grow the London quantum offering. The position combines strategic involvement with hands‑on dispute work, shaping the practice and mentoring the next generation. Responsibilities

• Provide high‑level quantum and dispute resolution advice across complex matters
• Act as a named/lead Quantum Expert, including expert reports and testimony
• Deliver hands‑on expert witness support for litigation and arbitration
• Develop and strengthen client and law firm relationships
• Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the quantum offering
• Mentor junior dispute professionals and help shape team
• Support cross‑functional coordination with contractors, employers and other stakeholders
• Engage in business development to build new opportunities in the market

Key requirements

• Proven track record as an Expert Witness and/or collaborating with leading experts on major disputes
• Experience advising construction lawyers, contractors, employers and sophisticated clients
• Experience with cross‑examination or capability to serve as named/lead Quantum Expert
• Strong knowledge of major contract forms (NEC, JCT and/or FIDIC)
• Experience on major building, infrastructure, oil & gas, energy or power projects
• Postgraduate or legal qualifications in construction law or dispute resolution (preferred)
• Ability to progress within a growing, entrepreneurial business
• Strong technical credibility and commercial presence
