Property Services and Energy Manager

Overview

In this role you will oversee the day-to-day operation of a seven-building portfolio across the UK and Ireland. You will lead building services, contractor management, and compliance to ensure safe, reliable environments for occupants. You will drive preventative maintenance, energy initiatives, and risk control while coordinating with tenants, site teams, and external providers. You will shape service standards, KPI performance, and the estate’s resilience and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of seven-building portfolio across UK and Ireland
• Manage building services and all related maintenance (lift, structural, internal repairs, redecorations)
• Lead contractor management, health, safety, environmental monitoring and compliance
• Ensure services meet value-for-money, benchmark against peers, and meet KPIs
• Hold monthly performance meetings with service providers and cross-site teams
• Develop and implement Planned Preventative Maintenance and lifecycle planning
• Control Permit to Work, site inductions, risk assessments and method statements
• Lead carbon reduction initiatives and improve EPC ratings for owned buildings
• Own disaster recovery and business continuity plans and ensure 24/7 operations
• Manage budgets (life cycle, operating/maintenance, service charges) and risk assessments
• Coordinate external risk assessments, audits, and ISO-related building elements (ISO45001, ISO27001, ISO50001, ISO14001)
• Drive energy usage and EPC improvements across the estate
