Overview

As Payroll Specialist, you will ensure accurate, compliant payroll delivery across the UK, Ireland, Europe and Latin America using iTrent, coordinating with outsourcing providers. You act as the interface between HR Services, Rewards, payroll vendors, and employees to maintain data integrity with SAP SuccessFactors and payroll systems. The role supports governance, statutory compliance, system integration, and continuous process improvement. You will work in a fast‑paced, international Global HR environment focused on collaboration, learning, and delivering a high‑quality payroll experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end payroll activities across UK, Ireland, Europe, and Latin America via iTrent Payroll (UKI) and outsourced providers (EULA)
  • Serve as primary contact for UKI stakeholders and external providers to ensure service delivery
  • Review, validate, and reconcile data from SAP SuccessFactors Central and Time Management with payroll inputs
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies before payroll processing
  • Process and validate payroll transactions for UK & Ireland; ensure HMRC/compliance
  • Submit payroll data to external providers on schedule with SLAs
  • Manage payroll calendars, deadlines, approvals, and funding needs across countries
  • Validate payroll calculations, reports, reconciliations, and payment files before sign-off
  • Support month-end/year-end activities, including statutory reporting and audits
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation, tax, social security, GDPR, and controls
  • Partner with HR Services, Rewards, HRBPs and stakeholders for accurate data and outcomes
  • Serve as payroll SME for UKI, Europe, and LA regions
  • Investigate and resolve escalated payroll discrepancies and queries
  • Support continuous improvement in processes, controls, systems, and provider performance
  • Participate in payroll system testing, upgrades, integrations, and change initiatives
  • Maintain payroll records and support data integrity for audits
  • Assist with recurring reporting, variance analyses, and reconciliations
  • Contribute to payroll projects and coaching/mentoring of team members

Key requirements

  • Payroll experience in a large, multi-entity/multi-country organization
  • Experience supporting UK, Ireland and EULA payrolls with outsourced providers
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation; international compliance is a plus
  • Experience using SAP SuccessFactors Time Management and iTrent (preferred)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong focus on compliance, data integrity and payroll controls
  • Ability to build relationships across HR, Reward, Finance and external partners
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across countries/time zones
