Principal, Program Management

Overview

As Principal, Program Management, you will drive strategic alignment and governance for Platform Engineering under OCTO. You’ll lead the newly formed Platform Engineering Business Office, providing structure, reporting and execution discipline across a global tech function. You collaborate with senior leaders to translate strategy into measurable outcomes and enable data-driven decisions. This is a high-impact role shaping operating models and cross-functional delivery at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities

• Drive organizational alignment across Cloud, SRE, Networks and Digital Workplace Services
• Coordinate strategic planning, reviews and cross-functional initiatives
• Establish governance processes, operating mechanisms and delivery frameworks
• Monitor portfolio health, risks and delivery outcomes; support prioritization
• Own portfolio demand intake and consolidated view aligned to business priorities
• Create KPI/OKR dashboards and executive reporting
• Prepare leadership updates, board materials and strategic communications
• Foster transformation initiatives and removal of barriers to execution

Key requirements

• 8+ years in technology organizations
• 4+ years in PMO, Portfolio Management, Business Operations, Chief of Staff or related roles
• Experience managing portfolios with multiple programmes
• Strong governance, planning and stakeholder management
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders in matrix organizations
• Experience producing executive-level reporting and insights
• Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills
• Experience with Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Confluence, ServiceNow
