Process Engineer – Yield

Overview

In this role you drive yield performance in the Finishing Fab, coordinating cross-functional teams to reduce excursions and improve product quality. You monitor wafer fab yield, initiate corrective actions, and support silicon qualification, quality improvement, and automation efforts. You work closely with Process, Equipment, Quality, IT and other cross-functional teams to scale improvements from development to production. Your work helps sustain outgoing quality and supplier performance while enabling new product introductions.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and coordinate cross-functional yield improvement initiatives
• Assist Test engineers with dispositioning lots and liaise with logistics, production and assembly on technical/yield issues
• Monitor yield performance, report discrepancies, and drive corrective actions in wafer fab or with suppliers
• Analyze opportunities for yield improvement on product types and participate in cross-functional yield teams
• Ensure integrity of wafer test specs, parametric and electrical yield stop levels, and minimum yield thresholds
• Support 8D investigations of customer complaints with quality engineers
• Monitor silicon supplier yield and implement corrective actions to improve yield
• Conform to departmental and company procedures and support introduction of new products/process technologies into Diefab
• Assist with tool automation activities
• Support quality improvement and automation initiatives
