Overview

In this role you will lead a growing Platform Engineering team building self-service, infrastructure-as-code primitives for a multi-cloud, AI-native security platform. You’ll architect and govern core infrastructure services powering CrowdStrike’s massive scale, balancing performance with cost efficiency. You’ll collaborate across engineering to shape the product roadmap and drive reliable, high-availability deployments. Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a team of engineers focused on platform quality and reliability
  • Architect large-scale core infrastructure services for multi-team use
  • Participate in retros, capacity planning, and cross-team collaboration
  • Conduct design sessions and demos for new architectures and POCs
  • Promote flexible, transparent work practices and work-life balance
  • Review, provide feedback, and approve new design proposals
  • Help plan the product roadmap and strategy
  • Drive cloud cost optimization while meeting performance needs
  • Define and enforce standards for multi-cloud service deployments

Key requirements

  • 8+ years industry experience
  • Experience in Configuration Management (Chef, Puppet, Salt or similar)
  • Experience in Provisioning & Orchestration (Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, Temporal or similar)
  • Experience with immutable architecture and distributed systems design
  • Software development experience in Python or Go
  • Experience with large-scale Linux environments
  • Cloud experience (AWS & GCP preferred)
  • Experience with TDD, CI/CD, Chaos Engineering or similar practices
  • Knowledge of SRE, DevOps and GitOps
  • Experience building reusable infrastructure modules and IDPs
  • Strong understanding of SRE principles including SLOs and post-incident analysis
  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making
  • Leadership: 4+ years as a people manager
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to collaborate with local and remote teams
  • Confident yet independent with prudent seeking of help when needed
