Overview

In this role you will manage end-to-end procurement for assigned packages supporting complex life sciences projects. You will liaise with IPS teams and clients to ensure procurement is aligned with project needs, from scope receipt through award, expediting, and closeout. You will contribute to procurement strategy, tendering, supplier evaluation, and marketplace updates, driving timely delivery and value. This is a senior, cross-functional role with significant interface responsibilities and a focus on delivering project success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement for assigned packages (capital equipment, construction contracts, professional services, indirect requirements)
  • Lead tender processes from scope to recommendation for award
  • Conduct detailed supplier evaluations and prepare Recommendation To Award packs
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Order/Contract packs and ensure alignment with project timelines
  • Support project initiation and development of the procurement execution plan
  • Expedite orders, track delivery, and ensure timely receipt of goods/services
  • Manage change orders, invoicing, and order closeout with suppliers and IPS/clients
  • Maintain Approved Supplier Program records and QA-related documentation
  • Provide market updates on pricing, mergers/acquisitions, and supplier status to the team
  • Research and evaluate new qualified contractors and vendors as needed
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across the project lifecycle
  • Ensure procurement procedures are followed and act as a senior IPS representative on projects

Key requirements

  • 5+ years in a project procurement role
  • Knowledge of trade contracts and equipment procurement
  • English communication proficiency (verbal and written)
  • Experience in end-to-end procurement process
  • Experience in a matrix, cross-functional project team
  • Ability to handle time-dependent requirements and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, organized, and a problem solver
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation ability
  • Analytical skills with understanding of contract risk
  • IT literacy with MS Office and ERP systems
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively and adhere to processes
