TikTok Shop – Senior Data Scientist, Operations

Overview

In this role you will support the TikTok Shop commerce growth by delivering data-driven insights and products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, ops, marketing, and regional operations to shape e-commerce strategy and measure performance. You’ll design monitoring systems to reflect business changes in real time and help optimize merchant and creator growth initiatives. The role combines analytics, business acumen, and execution to drive tangible improvements and scale operations. This is an opportunity to influence decisions across a global, data-driven organization and shape the analytics foundation for a fast-growing platform.

Responsibilities

• Analyze e-commerce operation strategy including merchant and creator performance and business reporting
• Design independent monitoring systems to capture changes in business dynamics
• Collaborate with Ops to set growth strategies and measure LTV and merchant growth
• Support regional operation analysis across overseas markets and provide optimization recommendations
• Coordinate with PM, Ops, and R&D to implement optimization plans and drive business growth

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• ≥3 years in data analysis or data science
• Proficient in SQL and Tableau and/or other relevant languages
• Experience in analytical roles within e-commerce or similar environments
• Self-driven with ability to learn quickly and work with a diverse, global team
